Legislative Director - Natural Resources Committee

The National Governors Association is a nonpartisan organization of the nationís governors. Through NGA, governors share best practices, speak with a collective voice on national policy and develop innovative solutions that improve state government and support the principles of federalism. 

The Legislative Director, Natural Resources Committee serves as a key lobbyist for NGA with the U.S. Congress covering policy positions regarding issues related to agriculture, energy, water, the environment and natural resources. Collaborates extensively with the Director, Advocacy and the NGA Solutions on legislative activities and priorities related to NGA and its members.  This position will require significant time and have direct interaction with congressional offices and the Administration.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Track and monitor legislation and regulations on issues that are of importance to states including, but not limited to, agriculture, energy, water, the environment and natural resources programs. Specific duties include:
